Why work with usOur philosophy across the practice is to seek to provide clients with access to justice – we want to bridge the gap between legal aid and expensive private firms. We try to help the clients that slip between the cracks of the justice system.

There may be more than 50 of us now, but we still try to keep the tight knit “small firm” feel where everyone genuinely cares about each other. We’re a group that works hard during work hours, while enjoying camaraderie with colleagues and valuing work life balance – properly switching off at the end of the day. Besides this, there’s a few other great benefits to working with us:

  • Industry leading parental leave – up to 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave (depending on length of service with the firm). At any given time a good number of our team are off on parental leave; we understand the challenges of having young families and making that juggle work.
  • Comprehensive Employee Assistance program – our team deals with a lot of trauma and intense subject matter, and we are very mindful of mental wellbeing. In addition to regular staff training programs and workshops, staff have up to $3,000 per year to spend on confidential counselling, either via an existing provider of their choice, or via our EAP provider’s panel counsellors.
  • Massages – One of our most loved office perks is having a qualified osteopath provide monthly stress reduction massages on site!
  • Annual team retreats – annually all the team (from junior support staff to team directors) get away for an annual team retreat, to focus on professional development and team building, to enable us to better serve our clients. Always a highlight of the year!
  • Progressive and tech savvy – we run a fully electronic practice with the latest technology, ensuring our people can be as productive as possible without being held back by outdated systems.
