Junior Legal Assistant – Personal Injuries – Lilydale Office

Johnstone and Reimer Lawyers are a rapidly growing general practice firm with offices in Lilydale, Berwick, and Melbourne’s CBD. Our firm’s mission is to solve client’s legal problems as expeditiously as possible.

We are looking for a junior legal assistant who can provide assistance as needed to our busy personal injuries team, based in our Lilydale office.

As a full time junior legal assistant at Johnstone and Reimer Lawyers, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Carry out a variety of administrative tasks assigned by the instructing solicitors and/or their assistant;
  • Copy and collate outgoing mail;
  • Collate and prepare briefs, court documents, letters, etc;
  • Prepare basic correspondence;
  • Filing and other administrative support

The successful applicant will not necessarily have law office experience however general office experience would be a plus.

While we are open to law students applying for the role, they must be able to demonstrate they are capable of full time work while studying.

Key attributes required are high attention to detail, a good phone manner, and excellent interpersonal skills. Above all we are looking for someone with a “can do” attitude who is willing to learn and roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
